North End Stories is a digital narrative project that aims to collect, preserve, and share the stories of Italian-Americans whose families immigrated to Boston’s North End in the late 19th and early 20th century. How has the neighborhood changed since 1900? since 1950? How have lifestyles changed? What has stayed the same? How is Italian-American culture alive today in the North End? Once the project is complete I intend to release a series of video interviews, a booklet of photos and quotes, and an interactive website.
